Electronic Warfare Expert
General Description:
Provide experienced and qualified individual to JMRC who provides Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) instructional support to rotational units. Serves as a core member of the IED Defeat Team instructing large groups of personnel, including Brigade and Regimental Combat Team (B/RCT) leadership and staff at home station (to support Surge Operations) and at the JMRC. Periods of instruction will consist of C-IED concepts, best practices and current tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) for countering the improvised explosive devices (IEDs), IED trends and other C-IED related information as required. The employee will also provide their training audience with awareness, understanding and an improved capability to employ and synchronize the multitude of Specialized C-IED enablers and forces (e.g. Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, Weapons Intelligence Teams, Counter IED Targeting Program analysts, Electronic Warfare Officers and emerging intelligence capabilities etc) in order to effectively improve “Attack the Network” operations. Include management and support elements as necessary to meet mission requirements specified in SOW.

Duties will include, but not be limited to serving as a core member of the IED Defeat team and instructing large groups of personnel, including Brigade and Regimental Combat Team (B/RCT) leadership and staff at home station (to support Surge Operations) and at the JRMC. Periods of instruction will consist of C-IED concepts, best practices and current tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) for countering the improvised explosive devices (IEDs), IED trends and other C-IED related information as required. The employee will provide his training audience with awareness, understanding and an improved capability to employ and synchronize the multitude of Specialized C-IED enablers and forces (e.g. Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, Weapons Intelligence Teams, Counter IED Targeting Program analysts, Electronic Warfare Officers and emerging intelligence capabilities etc) in order to effectively improve “Attack the Network” operations. Additionally, supports/assists in the development of C-IED Programs of Instruction and supporting documents (i.e. Terminal and Enabling Learning Objectives and Performance Steps). Research Joint and other service C-IED TTPs, Lessons Learned, Doctrinal publications, Task Force information sources as well as Other Government Agencies for information relating to the C-IED field. Support and provide input to local Lessons Learned /TTP Data Repository cataloging all relevant after action reports, briefs and onsite interviews as reference material to support continued courseware development. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the IED-A. Employee must maintain Secret clearance throughout course of employment.
Provides experienced and qualified Electronic Warfare (EW) expert instruction in support of JMRC, Hohenfels, Germany.
Train military, civilian personnel and rotational units on counter radio electronic warfare devices and techniques, tactics, and procedures, including equipment use and maintenance, mission analysis, and intelligence considerations.
Advise rotational units on how to leverage electronic warfare capabilities into the targeting process.
Support elements as necessary to meet mission requirements specified in SOW.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 2 years EW experience.
- Former USAF or USN Electronic Warfare Officer or military school trained EW SME.
- Strongly Desired Qualifications
- Operational experience in CENTCOM [Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)/Operation New Dawn (OND)] within the last 2 years area.
- 4 years EW experience
Some travel is required.
