Description: Visual Awareness Technologies and Consulting, Inc. (VATC) is seeking candidates for a Senior Pricing Analyst.
The Pricing Analyst will be an integral member of the team, working with cross functional groups supporting new business and follow-on proposals for the government divisions of VATC, Inc. Flexibility is required to perform activities in a dynamic environment. Proposals will involve multiple end customers in military and commercial environments both domestic and international.
The position is responsible for the development of cost estimates and supporting rationale, and the preparation of proposals for major capture (competitive) proposals, change proposals, follow-on production proposals, and development activities. The Analyst may also develop functional estimates for specific labor tasks and material requirements. The Analyst will prepare proposal cost volumes with supporting documentation in compliance with FAR and VATC's estimating policies and procedures. The proposals will document the estimating basis, methodology, and underlying support for proposed amounts. The Analyst will also support management reviews, customer audits and proposal negotiations, plus prepare explanations of cost estimates for presentation.
As part of this responsibility, the Analyst will be required to specify and coordinate proposal input from other groups (Engineering, Program Office, etc), review customer requests, work statements and other proposal data to assure appropriateness, accuracy, and completeness of content. This includes, but is not limited to, working closely with project management leads to develop services labor hour estimates, and working with vendors, subcontractors, and procurement to develop a current consolidated priced summary bill of material.
In addition, the Analyst will be responsible to work with the Contracts Manager to coordinate proposal work flow for the site. The individual will ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations, Public Law 87-653, Truth in Negotiations Act, and VATC policies and procedures with regard to cost proposal preparation, review, submission and negotiations.
Experience in the following areas is required: A Bachelors degree is required with a minimum 5 years experience, 3 years of experience with a Masters. Highly motivated self starter with the ability to manage concurrent proposal assignments and function in time-sensitive situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work and interface with various levels of personnel, coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel and MS
Word Position requires working some extended hours and some travel may be required in support of proposal activities. The Analyst is required to resolve moderately complex contracts and or pricing issues. The Analyst must have strong analytical, mathematical skills and strong presentation skills.
